  • Updated scripts.
  • Minor styling changes.

BETA-0.5.0

July 1, 2021

  • NEW GENERATOR: Reply Chain Generator:
    • Yes, you can now generate replies to Tweets!
    • The existing Tweet editor was already long and clunky, and using it for replies would multiply that. So, I've had to entirely rethink how the editor works.
    • The new editor takes a much more "hands-on" approach. Rather then entering everything in a form, you can now click on each element of a Tweet and edit it directly.
    • Hopefully this new system is much more fun and easy to use.
  • Tweet Generator changes:
    • The Tweet Generator now uses the new editing system that the Reply Chain Generator has.
    • If you don't like it, you can still make Tweets using the old classic editor.
  • Changes to both Reply Chain and Tweet generators:
    • Links now render completely automatically. You will no longer need to use {{LINK}} to render a link. It uses Twitter's official linking algorithm to do so. There may be some issues with it, so be sure to contact me if you find any.
    • Emojis will now render as Twemojis, which is what Twitter uses to render emojis on their website.
    • Fixed a few issues in the image generation process.
  • Cleaned up the home page a bit.
  • Cleaned up the navbar a bit.
  • The cookie notice has been removed. We have switched our analytics system to one that doesn't use cookies, so the notice isn't necessary anymore. The privacy policy has also been updated to reflect this.

BETA-0.4.1

January 3, 2021

  • Fixed the broken "get current date and time" button on the Tweet generator.

BETA-0.4.0

December 20, 2020

  • Tweetgen has a bit of a different look — we use a different font now.
  • Tweet generator updates:
    • You can now add the number of Quote Tweets that a Tweet has. Twitter has recently distinguished between Quote Tweets and Retweets, so we have updated this to reflect that.
    • You can now add a fact-check warning to Tweets. These have been common on Twitter during this year's US election season. Memes and jokes about them have been common too, so this feature is now in Tweetgen!
    • Added a button to get the current date and time.
  • Block and Suspension generator updates:
    • Both generators now have less empty space; in line with newer changes by Twitter.
    • They now have the option for light, dim, and dark themes, just like in the Tweet generator.
    • You can now optionally add a name and profile picture to the Suspension generator.
  • Added a cookie consent notice to comply with internet privacy laws.
  • Updated the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Older changelogs on this page are now in a collapsible menu so they don't take up so much space.
  • Some minor behind-the-scenes changes

Compatibility

Tweetgen has been tested most extensively on Google Chrome, but should be compatible with most modern browsers. Tweetgen is not compatible with Internet Explorer, especially older versions.

If you're on mobile, using your device horizontally may give a better experience.
